1. Shake all the ingredients with ice. 2. Strain into an old-fashioned glass or sour glass. 3. Garnish with a lemon slice and a cherry. 4. Garnish with a maraschino cherry
If using egg white: Place the bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker. Do not add ice yet. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds. Add ice, and shake for 7 to 10 seconds more to chill. Double strain into a coupe.
